Completing practical experience is an important part of veterinary education and our externship programme is a good way of benefiting from a diverse, busy practice such as ours.

We offer externships for veterinary students who have entered the clinical years of their training and wish to experience a busy veterinary practice. Visits may be for two weeks and should be organised in conjunction with your academic institution.

Students will spend time in the hospital and reproduction departments. Any senior veterinary student, who is aiming for a career in equine practice, is welcome to apply for an externship position with us, providing they are enthusiastic, hard-working and keen to get involved.
