First of all the really important staff (the ones that make the hospital run): They can all be contacted by e mail or phone (0358 299 566) or Fax (0358 299307)

Front Office:

Reception:

Kate Davis: How lucky are we. The nicest and most un-flappable girl. She grew up in Upper Beaconsfield. Then she moved OS (as a dairy farm assistant in NZ) then back to Lang Lang for more milking (sore hands I reckon). Then after meeting the famous Nick at a Dookie B&S she moved to Shepparton which was our good fortune.  Kate and Nick were married in 2006. Congratulations to them both. Kate has now assumed more and wider responsibilities. She is responsible for managing the visiting veterinarians, students and foreigners. She is also staff liaison officer. If you have a problem (in or around the hospital) she will solve it for you.

Naomi Harrington: Our gorgeous  receptionist Naomi (Kate wrote that because, as our web master is male that would be some form of discrimination) is a local gal from Congupna, Naomi was studying Biological Science at University before hearing about the reception job at the hospital. Nomes is her nickname (not Knome).  Nomes loves going to the gym and spending time with her crazy rabbit, 2 Labradors and boyfriend Johno (whom she has way to well trained and makes us other guys look bad).

Accounting:

Minnie mouse (Askew) was born and bred in Benalla and has seen a bit of Victoria courtesy of her husband 'Dags' who was a Landmark stock agent. Nowadays Dags works with Corcoran and Parker and is an excellent stock agent. Minnie also loves her work (netball and partying as well), sitting for hours each day sending out bills and calling clients that must have been away when the last bills were sent out. Her real love is trees. She has single-handedly planted and watered and kept alive 3000 trees on their new property (Dags was of no help). Minnie and Dags are proud to introduce a baby boy named Harrison. Well done Min Min but please come back soon and help with the accounts more often will you?

Desiree Dainton: Des lives in Kialla Lakes but worked in Euroa, so she was excited to join the Hospital staff just to stop her everyday travel. In her previous job at Blue Gum Farm she managed the office and accounting issues with assurity and reliability. She was a great addition to our accounting team and already knows or has met most of our clients.
Stop Press: Des has just got engaged. Great news Des. Another wedding!!!

Gary Hopkins: Born and bred in Melbourne , Gary moved to Shepparton in 1986 to work as a supply manager at GV Base hospital. After working there for 25 years we were lucky enough to have Gary come on board with us as our purchasing officer in August 2006.  Gary has done a superb job sourcing new and fantastic products at the best possible price for us.   Gary is a keen fisherman and can tell a tale or two about fishing trips away with “the boys” Gary is also the proud father of two great sons, two cats and two handsome boxers!

Suanne Vale: Born and bred in Perth WA , Suanne moved to VIC 12 years ago to ride for Jan Langley (Langtreee Stud) Suanne is a well known show rider who has produced and shown successfully some of the top show horses and ponies in the country.  Suanne started with us September 2006 to pay our huge pile of accounts!! We love having Suanne around the place with her terrific sense of humour which adds to the happy ambience of the office. Suanne also enjoys snow skiing and makes as many trips to the ski fields as time permits.

Elaine Smith has recently joined us. She came with her husband Mark from the Yarra Valley. They both love horses and bought a place near Euroa. Elaine works with us from home. Her skills are accounting (hopefully that means there is lots for her to do).  Both her and Mark are loving their work with camp drafting. horses.

Manager:
The hospital manager is Libby Vasey (Jim's wife). Libby has made a huge difference to the running of the hospital since she started. None of us had ever heard of job descriptions before, let alone regular meetings and staff appraisals. In her previous role as a teacher at the Goulburn Valley Grammar School just down the road from us, she was able to develop the skills needed to manage such a wayward and recalcitrant lot that we are. The job of hospital manger is diverse and difficult.

Reproduction

Manager: Leann Newton:
Leann is South African by birth and together with her husband farrier, Craig and children Kyle, Kirsty and Kailie, emigrated here 5 years ago. She managed Blue Gum Farm before coming to work for us. She is good with horses and people. She has great organisational skills and was just what we were looking for. She can be contacted by e mail or phone on 0427299568 for any reproduction related enquiries.

Kirsten Holland: We are a bit worried as Kirsten is almost a part of Leann's family and now they are working together. Kirsten is a good horse person and has a radiant smile and a great will to help. We are expecting she will be fun to work with.

Caitlin Gillett:  As Caitlin has just been appointed to the reproduction team it is a bit early to comment about her humour, work style and love of the job. However she did her time the stables and was most impressive. Always willing to go the extra yard. We are excited to have her.

Stables:
Keeping the stables clean and neat is an important job for us. As most people are horse owners that visit the hospital they have a good knowledge of how stables should be maintained and thus are rightly demanding that there horses are well looked after. Jennie Stanton has been with us the longest. Jennie lives in Invergordon where she is raising two teenage boys. Like most of or staff she loves horses and rides regularly.
Also helping her is Jodi Collins. Jodi is quite a character. Smiles all the time and nothing is to much trouble. Jodi rides and seems to love life in general.

Barn and Farm crew:

The farm staff are led by John Neal, who together with Allan Currie and Pat Sleeth ably keep the pastures and hospital confines in great shape (not an easy job seeing how we load the horses on and never seem to pick up after ourselves). They build fences, put up stalls and are always as cheery as. The two Johnies (the outside assistance of John Gall) on the left and Alan (right) are seen here.

Would you trust these two?
